AXIS OF ADVANCE formed from the still-warm ashes of SACRAMENTARY ABOLISHMENT. Picking up right where SACRAMENTARY ABOLISHMENT left off, AXIS OF ADVANCE began their existence with the release of a 3-song MCD of crushing black/death war metal. With only 500 copies of this 1999 release, it tends to be forgotten in the wake of their more recent releases despite being some of their most vicious and primitive material. Landline features two songs that were written for what was meant to be SACRAMENTARY ABOLISHMENT's third album (they also get rerecorded for AXIS OF ADVANCE's debut album Strike), as well a SACRIFICE cover.
